In early January, I made a few New Year’s resolutions. I pledged to hit the gym three times a week, give more time to myself, and find time to travel. I have found that many of my goals were impractical, but with the help of the internet I will soon be traveling.

I found an amazing website that offers the rental of personal villas in many areas of the world, including many locations in Bali. It has always been a dream of mine to travel to Bali and few places dazzle quite like the city of Seminyak.

Seminyak is famous for offering travelers a relaxed atmosphere. The cost efficient area welcomes visitors of all nationalities. In Seminyak, a visitor can experience the culture of the natives as well as sample the fare of many various countries.

It is inexpensive to find both lodging and entertainment in Seminyak. Most outings cost only between $5 and $15. You can swim or lounge at the beach, dance at a disco, or dine in the garden at many different restaurants. Seminyak offers restaurants of all style and can please most any palette. If you wish to experience traditional Balinese and Indonesian cooking there are many fabulous restaurants to try. Some offer daily specials for as low as $.54 per plate! If you find that Balinese food does not agree with you, you can also find French Mediterranean cuisine and there is even an Asian fusion restaurant. One of the French restaurants offers fresh baked baguette straight from a wood burning oven and the Asian fusion restaurant offers wonderful Asian food in a Billiard hall setting. What fun!

Best of all, you can have your own private villa located within walking distance of most of these fantastic locations. These villas are inexpensive also. Accommodations can be found for as little as $3000 per week and usually sleep up to 8 people. It would be nearly impossible to lodge that many people in a hotel for a week and receive that low of a rate. Even if you were to find a hotel that reasonably priced it is doubtful that it would offer the luxuries of a private villa.

Many of the villas offer private hot tubs, oversized king beds, private pools, and well maintained gardens. These fully furnished villas come in a variety of styles and sizes, but they all provide ample comfort. Whether you have a small party or a large party, each of your guests will have complete privacy. Offer your friends and loved ones a chance to relax with these fabulous accommodations.

I intend to take a break myself on this vacation. It often seems that as a Mom, whenever we take a vacation I continue to work while everyone else relaxes. With the help of the website that I arranged a villa through, I was also able to arrange other services too. While in Seminyak I will have a personal chef for meals that we decide to eat in. I will also have a nanny so that my husband and I can enjoy the nightlife sans children. Now that’s a vacation!
